The intensive ELE 20 course for basic levels of Spanish (A1-A2) is aimed at students who want to start learning the language from the beginning, need 20 teaching hours per week and can attend classes from Monday to Friday, at least 4 hours per day and also want to have an immersive experience, with classes under a communicative approach adapted to the specifications of the Common Framework of Reference for Languages. This course adds an extra hour, from 12:30 to 13:30, of tutored training in the four language skills and especially in oral practice.

The course has a total of 200 teaching hours. A first module of A1 (Access) for beginners of 80 hours and a second module where new students can enter to study level A2 (Platform) for 120 hours. At the end of the course the student will be prepared to be an independent user and will also be able to take an assessment for promotion to intermediate level (B1-B2).

The course programme includes tutorials, access to the Virtual Classroom of the University of Valencia and language and culture classes outside the centre to put acquired knowledge into practice. A programme of social activities is also available to students, taking advantage of the cultural agenda of the city and the University of Valencia.
